Geosociology

Neighboroo is a new mapping site with loads and loads of data overlays. It’s interesting both at the micro level (to suss out your zip code) and the macro level (to see the U.S. in different ways).

Also new: Outside.in, which is also map-driven but instead of data it’s blogggs!

I think that, at the end, there's a much greater long tail of socio-geographic content out there, reaching much farther than US statistics or blogs. Let the world's net users geotag their own stuff (anything) directly on maps (the approach of Tagzania and others), and myriads of maps arise. See http://www.tagzania.com
