Seriously, that's a wonderful neighborhood, not far from Rockridge Bart. The Elmwood/Rockridge area is filled with yummy food, random bookstores, and gorgeous gardens. I wish I spent more time there.

Personally I'd just be interested in seeing a survey of laptop and wifi usage at cafes. It's sort of the idealized modern pastime in my mind, but I wonder what it actually is. Are people doing work? Are they students? Artists? Programmers? Activists? Vacationers? Retirees?
