Like a Brain, Like a Heart

I keep wondering... would we notice if the Internet "woke up"? Or would it be a mind so different from our own that we couldn't even see it?

No, you're exactly right, of course. Do our neurons 'know' we're alive, conscious and eating Cheez-Its? Of course not.

Kinda disappointing though.

Of course not. Maybe they do and we don't know it any more than in the other direction? Maybe we're at the perfect scale for obliviousness?
