Economics Education
Nick Kristof and Greg Mankiw talk about the need for better economics education. But I scowled at Mankiw’s invocation of textbooks. You know what’d be a great place to teach economics and statistics in a new, more effective way? A game school!

Mankiw is the author of the the introductory micro and macro books that I competed against most often when selling textbooks. That venture has to be giving him an extra couple hundred grand every time there is a new edition. So, to use econ-speak, Mr. Mankiw has a strong incentive to enlarge the economics textbook market.
