Just Saying
If I was Wes Anderson, instead of devoting my next two-year creative cycle to another big monolithic movie like The Darjeeling Limited, I would instead spend it making a series of 15-minute shorts like The Hotel Chevalier: one every three months, eight or so total. People would subscribe to them, on DVD or digital-whatever. It’d be great!

On the condition of course that the shorts would be significantly less boring, unfunny, and generally less "bad student film project"-esque than Hotel Chevalier. Gratuitous partial nudity of female stars is entirely optional.
Yes yes, definitely -- reference was not to Hotel Chevalier specifically, but rather to the form & to a general sense of potential.
Actually, come to think of it, maybe someone OTHER than Wes Anderson should make these. :-)
What would be REALLY interesting is to follow interlinked stories from multiple directors, where each adds something new to the serial unfolding of the bigger story.
Part one, Wes Anderson, Part two, Martin Scorsese, Part three, Sofia Coppola...
