The weirdest thing I ever saw mailed was a frisbee. We just covered the frisbee in stamps and and wrote the address in sharpie, and it got there.

My sister and always wished we could get mailed addressed to our house, like in Anne of Green Gables. You could send a letter to Anne Blythe, Ingleside, Glen St. Mary, Prince Edward Island. Not as impressive as a map, but still no numbers.

A friend of mine used to live in an old hunting cabin, known as a "bothy", on the estate of an English earl. Her address was simply The Bothy, Earl of X Estate, and the city.
