Change Blindness
Although this is not the “coolest psychology experiment ever,” as billed, it’s pretty freaky all the same. It makes me wonder what other giant glaring things we fail to perceive on a daily basis.

After my wife came home from work yesterday, we talked about this story and I read some parts of the article. We spent about forty-five minutes talking about it before I pointed out that I was wearing contact lenses instead of my glasses for the first time in months -- she hadn't noticed. She just thought my hair looked different.
