Why do you live in Paris?

I like living there because I can smoke everywhere, but it is going to change. Maybe I will move to Greece, because there you can still smoke everywhere.

I had the strangest thought reading this. I wonder: have cigarettes and cigarette smokers become scapegoats on which we project (and symbolically punish) our guilt for everything we consume that is bad for us, indirectly hurts other people, but which we can't give up?

but smoking is cool, so they should be able to handle it.
