Latest elite magazine story on the Huffington Post and the death of newspapers: so-so.
Rex’s identification of the dueling public philosophies of Walter Lippman and John Dewey as the most interesting idea in the piece: excellent.

I'm trying to muster the energy to do a point-by-point analysis of Alterman's flawed assumptions, only because I fear a lot of our folks will read it and don't want it lying there unchallenged. But really, there is so useful and provocative stuff toward the end ...
