Doing Deals in Azeroth

Jane Pinckard asks: Is World of Warcraft the new golf? That is: Is the game becoming a substrate for networking, even dealmaking?

Interesting idea, and I will add that I have heard stories — independent of this article — of tech execs using the game as an after-hours meeting space.

I can easily see where folks get the idea that we use WoW as a meeting space. You can meet. You can chat. It is geared towards teen to forty year olds though outside that have been known to enjoy it too.
We do talk about everything including work, but for the most part it is an escape from work that is more enjoyed. I am, of course, only speaking for the majority...the extremes have their own voice.
I hope that helps...
