Google Wave Solo

Is there anything lonelier than a Google Wave developer sandbox account with only one user?

No. No there is not.

I thought I was going to be able to invite other people, but alas. Sandbox for one. This is creeping me out. So long, Wave. See you when you actually get released.

Ohmigosh, that's almost adorably sad.

And I just spent 20 minutes cuddling with a recently adopted 8-week-old 5 lb fluffy Snowy look-a-like puppy who was abandoned at a camp for juvenile cancer patients. Really.

But can't you connect with other people at IO who had invites?

Came across this post from twitter or somewhere... Feel free to add me if you want to try it out or chat. My username on the service is the domain name in my email address @wavesandbox.com.

I really liked this Andy Ihnatko article on Wave's promise; John Gruber and Howard Weaver both like it too.

As a side note, Matt and I collaborated on one of the NLA chapters using Google Docs while chatting on Google Chat (which, of course, you can't do in the same window). We both commiserated - why oh why can't those engineering wizards at Google figure out a way for people to do all of this in one application? Nice to know they had some dudes in Australia working on it.

That's really sad. Feel free to add me once I get an account.
