Hard-Hitting RNC Commentary

Random Twitterer is right, yo. Sarah Palin’s suit is the surprise hit of the night. I’m the guy that has long hated coverage of female candidates that insisted on mentioning their clothing choices, but seriously, I want that suit. Even my potential appearance in Steve Schmidt’s talking points about male blogger misogyny cannot prevent me from complimenting that fierce piece of gun-metal grey hottness.

I'm not sure you'd look that good in gray, Matt. Any evidence?

While we're objectifying female politicians, I have to confess: I have a total crush on Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn. They'd better keep their "Coldest State, Hottest Governor" buttons limited to that office, because only one lady from the great white North has this Democrat's heart.

Right as usual, Howard. I probably couldn't pull it off. But I'd certainly try.

Although people still tend to think "Gov. Jesse 'The Body' Ventura" when they think of Minnesota politics, it's kinda surprisingly full of rock stars at the moment - Amy Klobuchar, Keith Ellison, Tim Pawlenty. Mpls' popular mayor, R.T. Rybak, is one to watch, an early endorser of Obama who I expect would thrive under an Obama administration.
