Blender’s made a list of the 500 greatest songs written since you were born. Assuming you, like me, were born in 1980. (Yglesiastical.)

Or you can compare with Rolling Stones' recent Most Excellent Songs Of Every Year Since 1967.

It's the most backward list I've ever gone through. My Chemical Romance and Death Cab for Cutie beat out Every Breath You Take-The Police? You can't tell me that 20 years from now, people will know of "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)". I barely remember it, and it was last year. Further, Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me a River" beat out No Doubt's "Don't Speak" and Aerosmith's "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing"? Come *on*. Lastly, If Aerosmith made the list, what's with the lack of "Iris"-Goo Goo Dolls. It was the top song of 1998. "Name"? No Matchbox 20 ("If You're Gone", "Mad Season", "3 AM", "Bent", "Disease", "Unwell", "Bright Lights", "Real World", "Back 2 Good"). No Incubus ("Drive"). Mkay. Done now.
