The Film Version Of Your Life

In mine, I would be played by Phillip Seymour Hoffman. There’s a fair-to-middling physical resemblance, to be sure, but mostly, I just feel like he would do a really, really great job.

I’d also like it if he would say this about me:

The world is hard, and … being a human on this earth is a complicated, messy thing.Ē Hoffman paused again. ďAnd I, personally, am uncomfortable with that messiness, just as I acknowledge its absolute necessity. I find the need to play a part like [Tim Carmody] inescapable, and I only want to do things Iím that passionate about. I know there are actors out there that present themselves as cool cats, but you better take your cool-cat suit off if you want to act. You canít otherwise.

I'd like to think I'm complex enough to merit Chiwetel Ejiofor, but I'm afraid I'd be stuck with, I dunno, Alfonso Ribeiro or somesuch.

I want to be animated by Hayao Miyazaki. It's okay if I have to be composited into the rest of the (live action) movie.

That's so funny -- after Phillip Seymour Hoffman my second choice to play myself is Howl's Moving Castle from the Miyazaki film (s/t).

I think they would take the part in very different directions.

I like the way this is going. The Snarkmobile (a red Mini in real life) will be played by this cat bus:
