Help Me Decide Which Movie to See

So there is this film noir festival going on this weekend in San Francisco, which seems like a totally awesome thing to check out, except that I have never heard of any of the movies.

So… help me out here. Take a look at the program and let me know if anything rings a bell — or just looks interesting. I can’t see any of the Friday movies, but Saturday and Sunday are both fair game.

Man... Noir isn't my specialty, but I'm still surprised that I haven't seen any of these. (Which is not surprising considering most of them say "RARE AS THEY COME!!! Never on VHS or DVD!"

Out of them all, Cry Danger sounds the most interesting to me. William Bowers also wrote some great comedies, including My Man Godfrey and the outright silly Support Your Local Sheriff, so I think his films stand a good chance of being both dark and fun at the same time.

You have to see Hell's Half Acre! How can you avoid Tiki Noir? Contemporary Honolulu is about as 'noir' as the internet is 'free from vice'.

So, what'd you see and how was it?

Aww man, why you gotta call me out like that, Dwyer?

I didn't see any of them. Whomp-whomp

Man, Robin, you're like the narrator in Proust. All talk and no action.
