‘Human Brand Condition 2005’

Warren Ellis with some ruminations, over-the-top and weirdly inspiring as usual:
If someone had a mind to, they could become their own internet-powered brand with some speed. Tons of people could do it. They could design themselves to infiltrate cellphones and iPods, all the shit we’re told to own, all the shit we want to own for the pleasure of it but which by design comes contentless.A bunch of people actually attempting to take back the process of human productisation (as opposed to ignoring or fighting it) on an intensive basis…
Although let us note that Rex Sorgatz got there first:
… It means the content stars of 2005 will come from the least likely places. And we all have the regrettable responsibility to act like some weird hybrid of embedded reporter and reality TV star.
