Where Do Hits Happen Now?
I love this: The new Motley Crue single sold more copies via the Rock Band online store than via iTunes.
Now granted, this is “the new single from Motley Crue,” which I’m pretty sure no one was waiting for un-ironically.
But still, totally love it. Video games are the new movie soundtracks are the new albums.

It's actually even better - in the Reuters article, they say they are only counting sales from the Xbox 360 version of the game (which is far superior, but i digress). It doesn't detail how many copies sold on the PS3 version, but it's probably a comparable number, at least 25k i would guess.
If I was an old-time rocker, I'd be composing a jam *specifically* for Rock Band at this point.
