What the Nation Really Looks Like

Here’s another electoral college tracker map, but with state sizes scaled to correspond to the number of E.C. votes they carry.

Personally, I find it gratifying to see Wyoming that tiny.

Hey Rob, can you link to the earlier electoral college map, the one that let you switch which states were in which columns?

For my part, I'll do my damnedest to make sure that Pennsylvania gets back in the "barely Kerry" column.

What a cool map and more informative in its simplicity than most like this I've seen.

I agree, Julie -- the starkness helps. Some of the maps with, like, data on historical elections, etc., are cool, but this one really cuts to the chase.
