I’ve seen links to the 30,000 calorie sandwich floating around… but I didn’t realize it was an MSU alum who crafted the monster.

Not to be a spoilsport, but 30,000 calories is probably a huge overestimate. I mean, all that canola oil was used for deep frying, right? It didn't actually end up as part of the sandwich... assuming the guy didn't, y'know, chug it down after it cooled off.
