Welcome! You're looking at an archived Snarkmarket entry. We've got a fresh look—and more new ideas every day—on the front page.

Like Two Halves of My Brain, Battling

I’ve been posting more links to my Twitter account lately. But sometimes it feels vaguely like cheating on Snarkmarket. On the other hand, sometimes the links don’t feel cool or noteworthy enough for Snarkmarket, which is precisely why I post them to Twitter. On the other other hand, maybe everybody just subscribes to both feeds, so who cares?

Quick gut-check: More short links here? Fewer?

More! You (all) have a very high standard for what's cool; as I've said before Snarkmarket is the one blog that never fails to be more than worth the click. And I can leave comments for you here! That you'll see!

More. Here. But ...
Twitter is fun and useful for completely throw-away snippets; things that are worth sharing, but only barely. A blog like you have built here sets a higher standard.

Alternate solution: soon after we do the site redesign, we embed our Twitter feeds. No more no-win scenarios!

No more no-win scenarios!

Snarkmarket t-shirt possibilities should be an ongoing post.

If Snarkmarket was Star Trek, who would be who?

Or are we all Spock?

If I were Spock, I'd be Spock during the mating ritual that drives him crazy. So in honor of our shared Celtic heritage, I'll take Scotty. Especially now that he's played by Simon Pegg.

Screw twitter, post more here! Especially for links, as I'm firmly in the URL-shorteners-blow-goats camp.

Why do I have a sneaking suspicion that I just revealed my incredible lack of geek cred to the entire world? My students berate me daily about this, but I just haven't had a chance to see the new movie yet!

Here, here, though I am too spineless to internet accordingly.

+1 on the "screw Twitter" comment. Post more here!

I'll weigh in on again the Star Trek q: I think Chekhov matches Robin's enthusiasm ("I can do that! I can do that!") and Sulu's deep, beautiful voice and wise humanity make a nice stand-in for Matt.

More on me as Scotty: I'm smart, love sandwiches (which as I've aged have made me - ahem - thickly built), have a good sense of humor, type very quickly, and joined the crew here a little later than everyone else.

Oh no first the chair post and now this. I am going back to http://baselinescenario.com/

I feel you are all new time line Vulcans.
