Adam Smith vs. Blackbeard

This sounds like a made-up book title, but oh, it’s real: The Invisible Hook, on “the hidden economics of pirates.” Caleb Crain writes it up:

Are pirates socialists or capitalists? Lately, itís become hard to tell the categories apart.

I like The Invisible Hook. It was a little repetitive
in places, but otherwise it was interesting look at pirates.
