The eerie art of Gregory Crewdson. (via)
I've gone back to Gregory Crewdson's work as research material in my lighting design process for years. I love the heightened, slightly altered, decidedly strange version of reality that his art features.
A particular reference for me is his collection Twilight.
That book was a major influence on my lighting for Life of Galileo.
