Saheli S. R. Datta was born in Denver, CO and has also lived in CA and NYC. She has roots in Bengal. She studied physics at UC Berkeley and journalism at Columbia University, and has worked as a research assistant, business journalist, science teacher, and media trainer. She currently pays the bills doing education, outreach, grant and collaboration management, and media/curriculum development for a number of research projects and professors at UC Berkeley and Stanford University, usually in the intersection of biology, math and the physical sciences. . Her opinions are her own and should not reflect on her PIs/labs, either University, or Snarkmarket. Her teenage nickname was "goddess of entropy." Generally she is interested in intersection, connection, and civics. She has many strong weaknesses, especially for almost all well-executed vegetarian food, hooky pop music, trumpets, and violins, and all manners of couches and beds. Follow her at

Notes:

  1. Really, the very presence and flavor of glee in this habit almost proves how unsnarky we are.
