Ridiculous; the actor already had a major part as a cop on Homicide: Life on the Street (the only cop show to come anywhere close to The Wire in terms of quality, and natch, a David Simon project). Law &amp; Order had a number of crossovers with Homicide, and indeed, Detective Munch began as a character on that show. Definitely lazy.</description>
