The Truth About the East Wind

Here’s a new thing! A short story about curiosity, obsession, and one of the greatest cover-ups of all time. Also, Greek gods:

The Truth About the East Wind

I’m trying a new format here, and I’m curious to know if you think it works. I think it might be perfectly lunch-break-sized…

Jim Hartman says…

Very nice, with unexpected touches throughout – I’ll recommend it to my fellow webronauts.

It is a wonderful format. Sort of Scott McCloud inspired, but the link to scrolls.classical studies is nice too. All the better, the little touches are perfect, like the scissor icon to divide sections, and then the scissors close. . .

Yeah, the scissors are my single favorite thing. The scissors and the moon. The whole thing is really an excuse to present the scissors and the moon.

I really like the full book scan with the missing east wind. Nicely done.

Tim Carmody says…

“Bam!” made me laugh. D’Aulaires’ + Sloan commentary = thumbs double up.
