Watch that second baseman; he’s got great ears

This is com­pletely sub­lime. The Doppler-shifted whine of the ball as it’s thrown! The mad scram­ble to find it on the ground! The run­ning col­li­sion with the stand-up base!

So: 1. I totally want to play. 2. Are there any other sports or games that ask us to use our ears? Seems like they all hap­pen pretty exclu­sively in the visual/tactile domain.

Hmm. Taste­ball, anyone?

    Check out goal­ball. I played it once when I was a teenager. The guy that taught it to us was com­pletely blind.
