Now Available: The Writer & the Witch
 /

Hey look!

My new short story, The Writer & the Witch, is now available on the Kindle (and the Kindle iPhone app, too, of course).

More details here. I’m using the ransom model for this one; after 100 Kindle copies are sold, I’ll post the free web version. So grab a copy, or tell a Kindle-owning friend to check it out.

Oh, Mr. Sloan. I would be happy to pay $0.99, and indeed more, for this story, but cannot spring for a $300 Kindle.

So I wait.

1. I’m surprised there’s still no Kindle desktop app

2. All the more reason to roam the streets of East Lansing, find & accost someone with a Kindle, and demand that they download the story immediately 🙂

I found myself waiting overtime (as always) for a doctor’s appointment this afternoon. Pulled out my phone, checked my email and read the latest tweets. Still waiting.

Then I remembered the Kindle app on my phone, snatched The Witch from my Kindle cue and wandered off into magicland.

What an age. Thanks for the story, Robin.

For those without access yet, a tease:

“Ninety-nine years rushed under the short stone bridge, and the writer’s life and legend grew together.”

I’ve done my part to free The Writer & the Witch from Kindle’s dark clutches. I will be reading it on my shattered iPhone.

Bought it, got it, read it from Kindle (the $0.99 version). I’ll certainly purchase more of your writing.
