I’d opt for the somewhat easier and equally if not more delicious — chocolate chip cupcakes with chunks of chocolate cookie dough on top, embedding in the frosting.
You could also apply frosting to the top (or bottom) of a chocolate chip cookie, with cookie dough mixed in.
Or: an ice cream sandwich, with two chocolate chip cookies and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream in between.
