I’ve known about Alex for a long long time, but it was nice to see video of him. I don’t know if he’s still alive or how old that video is? But there was something sort of poignant about when he asks, several times, to go back, and is told he can’t, and asks for water just to interrupt. . .he’s captive and has to do what’s expected of him, and in recognizing his intelligence it becomes more obvious that this might not always be pleasant for him.
