Have you ever been stuck looking for a retro music sample reminiscent of that peppy 1950s film style? Ask MeFi to the rescue. That is all.

I don’t know what you’re snarking about – that was *me* that posted that question!
No snark here. I’ve actually wondered about where I can find this music myself. Ripping off the Prelinger archives as one poster suggested doesn’t work because there’s already a narrator.
I actually purchased a CD many years ago (in the “Lounge” section at the Uptown Cheapo’s original location at Lagoon/Hennepin) called “Music for TV Dinners”. Great stuff…about 20 of these little ditties. I have been looking in vain to find further examples, myself.
I’ve heard one or two of these songs in the background on SpongeBob episodes, as well…or is that a little creepy? I do have a three-year-old, so that’s my excuse, and I’m stickin’ to it!
